“Association of the chlor-alkali industry of the Russian Federation” (Association “RusChlor”)

The 19th Industry Conference of the RusChlor Association, "Chlorine and Chlorinated Products 2026," was held in the conference hall of the Balchug Hotel in Moscow on June 2 and 3, 2026. The conference was organized by the RusChlor Association and the National Center for Chlorine Safety, with the support of the Russian Union of Chemists, the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision of the Russian Federation, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

The Conference was attended by 115 people from 57 organizations, including managers and specialists from 13 Russian chlor-alkali production plants that are full members of the RusChlor Association and 14 organizations that are associate members of RusChlor. Heads of federal executive bodies, specialists from design and engineering organizations, and equipment and valve suppliers also participated in the Conference. In addition to Russian organizations, specialists from Belarus, the People's Republic of China, and India participated in the Conference.

 

The conference was opened by Boris Yulyevich Yagud, Executive Director of the RusChlor Association.

Over the course of two days, Conference participants heard and discussed 25 reports on the sustainability and development of the chlorine industry in Russia's chemical complex. They examined the challenges and paths for modernizing chlorine and caustic soda production technology, as well as chlorine-processing products, assessed domestic engineering potential, and discussed the need to create an industry research and design center.

 

Following the conference, participants adopted a decision, which, after editing, will be published on the website.
