On June 3 and 4, 2025, the XVIII Scientific and Technical Conference “Chlorine and Chlorinated Products 2025” was held in the conference hall of the Balchug Hotel, Moscow. The conference was prepared by the RusChlor Association and the National Center “Chlorine Safety” with the support of the Russian Union of Chemists.
The Conference was attended by over 120 people from 53 organizations, including managers and specialists from 13 Russian chlor-alkali production plants that are active members of the RusChlor Association and 15 organizations that are associate members of RusChlor. The Conference was also attended by specialists from design and engineering organizations, suppliers of equipment and fittings, and representatives of transport companies involved in the transportation of hazardous goods. In addition to Russian enterprises, specialists from Belarus, Germany, the People's Republic of China, and India participated in the Conference.
Traditionally, the conference began with a musical greeting from the Soloists of the "Opensound Orchestra"
Vice President of the Russian Union of Chemists V.V. Semenov gave a welcoming speech.
Colleagues from the China Chlorine Association, represented by its Vice President/Secretary General Peichao Zhang, addressed the Conference with greetings and wishes for successful work, and also made a presentation on the chlorine industry of China.
Executive Director of the RusChlor Association Yagud B.Yu. congratulated on the 15th anniversary of successful work and presented a certificate of honor to the member of the Association JSC VTE YUGO-VOSTOK.

Modern trends in the development of the Russian chlorine industry were outlined in the presentation of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of NIKOKHIM LLC, M.V. Baranov.
Executive Director of the Association "RusChlor" Yagud B.Yu. made a report on the topic: "Production of chlorine and chlorine products abroad"
The presentation “Advanced Electrochemical Technologies Used in the Chemical Industry” presented by the General Director of “Jiangsu ANCAN Technology Co., Ltd”, People's Republic of China, aroused great interest among those present.
Then reports were heard on the development and implementation of new technologies in the chlorine industry, presented, in particular, by specialists from foreign companies:

It should be noted that leading specialists of these companies also participated in the Conference. During the Conference, business meetings were held with representatives of our chlorine manufacturing plants on the subject of further cooperation.
An overview of chemical product production and dosing stations was presented in the presentation of the project manager of Vodoobrabotka LLC, M.I. Asanov.
A report on the economic efficiency of EMERALD compact electrochemical systems for obtaining chlorine and caustic soda at the point of consumption was presented by the General Director of Emerald Ecotechnologies LLC, Vladimir, P.V. Gnatyuk;
Production testing of palladium-containing anodes (OIRTA-Pd) was reported in the presentation by the Director of NPP Ecofes LLC, A.Yu. Cherkesov.
A presentation concerning pipelines, equipment and protection of tanks for the chlorine industry was presented by the General Director of MetallPlastMontazh LLC, E.B. Beloborodov.
The second day of the Conference was opened by the presentation of the Director of “Ing.Büro EWC East West Consulting”, Germany, Nelly Weiss, “Confirmation of compliance of complex process equipment with the requirements of technical regulations of the Customs Union and Federal Law 116-FZ Current changes for 2025”.
The report of B.Yu. Yagud was devoted to the practice of creating production facilities for chlorine, caustic soda and chlorine-containing products, problems of choosing a licensor, design, construction and commissioning.
In continuation of this topic, the report of the Project Director of the design organization LLC “Dzer” A.A. Morozov was heard. “Engineering competencies in the design of electrochemical processes”.
In addition, presentations were made on modern engineering solutions in the field of valve engineering (LLC “Lortex Eco”); consequences of incorrect design solutions and errors in the selection of construction materials for the production of equipment operating in aggressive environments (LLC VINK); development and implementation of shut-off, control and safety valves for railway tanks (LLC RTMT).
The second day of the Conference ended with a report by B.Yu. Yagud "Problems of transporting chlorine in tank containers, technical supervision and unification of design"
In total, over the course of two days, the Conference participants heard and discussed 20 reports concerning the main technical and technological problems of the production and handling of chlorine and caustic soda, issues of designing technological processes, standardization and application of new equipment and valves.
