Association “RusChlor” held its eighteenth in a row International and All-Russia Scientific and Technological Conference of the Chlor-Alkali Industry “Chlorine and its Derivatives 2025” in the conference hall of five-star hotel “Baltschug Kempinski” at Moscow downtown on June 03 through 04, 2025. The conference has been arranged by Association “Ruschlor" in cooperation with Moscow JSC "National Chlorine Safety Centre" with the assistance of Russian Chemists Union.
The conference were attained by in excess of 120 people representing more than 53 legal entities. There were the top managers of all the 13 Russian acting chlor-alkali facilities making up the RusChlor’s full membership as well as the representatives of 15 associate members in RusChlor among the attendees. There were also participating in the Conference’s proceedings the specialists representing the engineering companies, vendors of equipment including valves, fittings and fixtures, the transportation companies engaged in shipping the dangerous products. In addition to the people employed by the Russian industry there have also participated in the Conference the foreign specialists from Belarus, Germany, and the People's Republic of China.
Following an old tradition the Conference has started from a musical greeting by the soloists of Moscow orchestra “OpensoundOrchestra"
The opening address was cordially delivered by Mr. Viktor Semenov, Vice-President of the Russian Chemists Union.
Colleagues from the Chinese Chlor-Alkali Industry Association, represented by its Vice President/General Secretary Mr. Peichao Zhang, who also made a presentation at the Conference on the China's Chlor-Alkali Industry situation, welcomed and wished the Conference a successful outcome.
In his turn Executive Director of Association “RusChlor” Mr. Boris Yagud congratulated the Conference’s attendees on the 15th anniversary of its successful work and handed in a certificate of honor to the representative of the Moscow company JSC “VTE YUGO-VOSTOK” membering the Association.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Moscow LLC “NIKOCHEM” Mr. Michael Baranov has made to the attendees a presentation aimed at outlining to them the contemporary trends noticeable in the development of the Russian Chlor-Alkali industry.
Executive Director of Association “RusChlor” Mr. Boris Yagud has made the presentation entitled “Chlor-Alkali Production State abroad”
The presentation entitled “Advanced electrochemical technologies used in the chemical industry”, presented by the CEO of Chinese company “Jiangsu ANCAN Technology Co., Ltd” has aroused a great interest among the Conference’s attendees.
In what followed there were heard at the Conference the presentations featuring the issues to be addressed in the new technologies both development and implementation in the Chlor-Alkali industry. There were in particular the representatives of the following well-known companies among the preseters:

It is also worth noticing in this connection that a few other leading specialists employed by these companies have also attended the Conference. There were arranged and conducted a few business talks on the Conference’s sidelines between the representatives of the Russian Chlor-Alkali production facilities, on the one hand, and some other participants in the Conference, on the other. The talks were pivoted on the future cooperation perspective.
An overview of the management of production and dosing of food products was given in the presentation made by the project manager of Moscow LLC "Vodoobrabotka" Mr. Maxim Asanov.
General Director of Vladimir LLC “Emerald Ecotechnologies” Mr. Peter Gnatyuk made a presentation on the cost-effectiveness of the portable Emerald-made electrochemical systems in their manufacturing chlorine and caustic soda on the spot of their consumption.
Director of Novocherkassk LLC “Scientific and Production Enterprise ‘ECOFES” Mr. Arkadij Cherkesov made a presentation devoted the process of production testing the palladium containing anodes OIRTA-Pd™.
Director General of Kurgan LLC “MetallPlastMontazh” Mr. Eugene Beloborodov made a presentation on the pipelines, equipment, and tank protection techniques applicable to the Chlor-Alkali industry tasks.
On the second day of the conference, the opening presentation was given by the Director of German company “Ing. Büro EWC East West Consulting”, Ms. Nelly Weiss. The presentation was devoted to the problems felt in confirmation of the compliance of complex technological equipment with the requirements of technical regulations of the Technical Regulations of the Custom Union and Federal Law No. 116-FZ “On the Current Changes as of the year 2025”.
The presentation made by Executive Director of Association “RusChlor” Mr. Boris Yagud was devoted to the current practice in creating the production facilities from the scratches for manufacturing chlorine, caustic soda, and their derivatives, which featured the problems felt in selecting the right Licensor as well as in providing for the Design Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning works.
As a follow-up there was heard the presentation by Head of the Department of Technology, Fire Safety, and Environment Protection at Dzerzhinsk LLC “dzer” Mr. Alexander Elesin. His presentation was entitled “The Engineering Expertise applicable to Electrolysis”.
In addition, presentations were made on modern engineering solutions in the field of valve engineering (LLC “Lortex Eco”), the consequences of incorrect design solutions and errors in the selection of construction materials for the production of equipment operating in aggressive environments (LLC “VINK”), the development and implementation of shut-off, control and safety valves for railway tanks (LLC “RTMT”).
In the wrap-up of the Conference’s last day Mr. Boris Yagud made a presentation entitled “The problems to be tackled in the field of bulk transportation of chlorine with the use of tank-containers in the aspects of technological supervision, design alignment, andharmonization”.
In total, over the course of two days, the Conference participants heard and discussed 20 reports concerning the main technical and technological problems of the production and handling of chlorine and caustic soda, issues of designing technological processes, standardization and the use of new equipment and fittings.
